Tour Hearst Castle with a Group or School.Accessibly Designed Holiday Twilight Tour.All in all it was a nice room but the amenities were very few and there's still a good amount of upgrades to be made if they are going to charge nearly $500/night. It would also have been great to have an electric car charger available as the only way to charge your vehicle in Cambria seems to be at the hotel you are staying at - which was incredibly frustrating to find out after the fact. The service aspect of the facility needs to be addressed. Experience true seaside charm on California’s Central Coast with events and activities at Fireside Inn. It was a holiday weekend and the entire area was booked solid but there was almost no staff available at the hotel. It would have been really nice to have had brewed coffee in the lobby for the guests. There is no maid service which was disappointing and it was very difficult to contact the front desk for something as simple as towels or a new coffee maker.
The rooms were recently renovated but the hotel itself feels chintzy. The hot tub was falling apart and needs to be refinished. The pool water was very dirty and needed to be cleaned. We liked that it was right across the street from the Moonstone Beach walkway and that there was a pool and hot tub.
